[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Earlier in 2019, the Ministry of Works touted its diligence in the maintenance of roads. The ministry boasted about its weekly meetings held with other utility agencies to better coordinate road works. Ahead of the works, press statements would be released, giving details of the scope and duration of the project This was consistent through the last of 2019’s projects at the Blue Hill Round about and expansion of the Carmichael Rd.|Faith Ave. intersection whose press releases could be found on the Ministry’s website.
But what happens when utility companies do not establish similar policies and road works go one for seemingly interminable periods, causing harm to both public and private property? Who compels them to communicate in the same ways? Or issues fines for damages? Who holds these companies accountable? Is this an URCA related issue?
Please chime in, how do we want to see this addressed. See Tribune article for more details.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
